WELP! I got ahold of the computer shop I was supposed to go to on Friday. I showed up and they had a whopping 3 towers for me. They told me they were complete and I loaded them up. I asked them what they do with their wire/bad ram/bad hd's/anything that's scrap. They said they throw it away. I asked them to save it for me but with the size of their shop and lack of space i doubt they will.
I paid $1.50/tower because they said they were complete. Gave him $4.50 and walked out. Not the score I was looking for.
I got them to the storage unit and popped off the optiplex's cover. Stripped. No CPU, no RAM, no HD...just a mobo, a copper heatsink and a power supply. Great.
I feel like I got taken for a ride on this deal. The other computers had their RAM, but no CPU chips, one had a HD. Really disappointed. I have a lot of phone calls to make for sure. This kind if stuff ain't gonna pay any bills anytime soon.
