In 2000 I owned one of the authorized Pokemon distributors in the US. It was literally a iicense to print money, if you had product. Like all things the fad cooled and I had one shipment as the bubble popped that was probably going to be a problem when it arrived. Lucky for us the shipment got "lost" at the local shipping terminal (i.e. Stolen) before it arrived.
