A pole fence is a general term which could be metal or wooden posts with wood, metal, mesh, metal rod, or cable for the cross members. Until you look at it, you have no idea of what you have. If it is all metal or wooden and not rotten, the resale value would be better than scrap. The barn on the other hand could have even more value. Old joists, rafters, and beams bring big money in the cities. If it has old barn wood under the metal sheeting, that is a big money maker. Good luck and keep us updated.

Just a note: old 'antique' lumber can be worth a LOT of money. If you can, try to identify the wood ( if that is what you are dealing with ).
Some of the more valuable woods I have ran across over the years:
Red Oak
White Oak
Birch
Long Grain Pine
Walnut
Maple
for some reason blue stained pine is also kind of valuable

Prices can very a lot depending on species, size, and condition.
