Yesterday I met or exceeded my Dakota's payload @ 1220 lbs - still not sure what the payload capacity is. That's my record so far in weight but not $$. I actually think it was 1240 but the scale operator printed the ticket before it "settled" on the way out, I didn't bother to let him know either. No biggie.

I'm ashamed to put mine - about 900 lbs at once. Mostly steel, but about 150 in AL, and about 30 in Cu.

I'm not sure what the total weight was but a 3/4 ton van fully loaded with servers, battery backups and computers have made for an exciting ride home many times.

I average 2 tons per load (pick up and flat deck trailer). I turn in 20 metric tons per month at the yard.

This load was entertaining, when the trucker dropped the trailer in our yard the ground was frozen and he never put any blocking under the landing gear. Three days later we had a heat wave, the landing gear sank about a foot before finding solid ground.Originally Posted by Proton

Loading the cut up Terex I noticed the tires on the trailer were squatting a bit low in the sidewall and decided to call it quits on the load, made a call to the yard to bring another trailer and pick the loaded one up.
Guy drops the empty then lets the air out from the bags to lower the truck so that he could get under the load, no go the trailer is to low. I had an old GSW excavator that the ready mix plant had loaned me a year earlier. Fired the old Deutz 6 cylinder diesel up then proceeded to excavate some gravel from under the front of the trailer making a ramp for the tractor to back under.
Air bags deflated he's now hooked to the king pin, were standing there chewing the fat and I ask him what he figures the load weighs. He says I'll be able to tell you once the bags are aired up from the gauge.
Just after he says that there's this incredible loud explosion and the air bag next to us blows, now of course he's not able to use the air gauge to get the weight on the trailer.
I tell him that I think he's over weight and that I would show him a way to avoid the highway scales, the next day when I phoned the yard they told me the trailer was 12,000 lbs over. It's a good thing the driver listened to my suggestion to avoid the scale, that would have been one heel of a ticket.

I cannot tell you the exact weight of my heaviest load but know it is nothing compared to the 29 tons Proton and 520 have hauled. That is a lot of weight.

I'm not far off from that and I am not ashamed! I've got a little RWD mid-sized pickup so for me anything over 750lbs is kick butt - lots of these people have trailers and big equipment and big trucks, permits and licenses and what not. If it's a contest I, would certainly lose!
My largest pick up in one load was about 8,000 lbs of servers. I had to hire someone with a larger truck and power tailgate to bring it all back to the shop. There is an old post about it with photos. My largest sale ever was last month, about 3,900 lbs of motherboards, finger cards, telecom boards, cell phones, RAM, CPU, etc.

My best load was 3,000 pounds of aluminum irrigation pipe at one time. Lots of loads of batteries that were 4,000 pounds or more.
My record load for weight was 305lbs but I've been working out and am down to about 260 lol

Record for one load hauled scrap to the yard including steel, CU, AL and batteries was about 1600 lbs in my truck and trailer. Mind you that
my trailer is rated for 1200 lbs . It felt like it was pulling alittle on the heavy side

My record load was last summer when I took 2 pieces of circuit board manufacturing equipment weighing in at 4,800 pounds of mostly cast aluminum. They also had quite a few good boards in them with a few I486 CPU's. Each one had about 80 pounds of computer wire and about 30 pounds of circuit breakers. It's always crazy to see what some of this equipment was worth brand new ($100,000+ each) that is now only worth the metal it's made of.

Not sure if it's the largest haul to date but it is the biggest RTU I've replaced to date. 20 Ton roof top unit that weighs about 3500 pounds. Still need to process it, so it's sitting at home till work slows down.

Not my biggest haul but my biggest shipment was 2044 lbs of mixed ewaste which netted $6080.
