    I am not sure if a 2500 is strong enough. Not to say they don't exist, but I have never seen a tow truck that was not a dual wheel.



    With the wheel lift you're leveraging against the rear axle. I'd want no less than a 1 ton dual setup, plus the truck has to have stopping power for truck and vehicle being towed. Whereas your trailer has brakes.

    I am with Mick. Go with a rollback. Then if you come across something with flat tires, missing tires, etc you can still haul it.

    On a side note you can move storage sheds on the side for extra $.
