I think if you took his price and divided by 2.2, then multiplied that by .80, you'd get the US price per pound. For instance - The price of copper is NZ $7.43. So, 7.43 / 2.2 = 3.377 (pound). 3.77 * .80 = $2.70 (US) per pound.
The .80 will change by the exchange rate but the 2.2 will be a constant.
