    NZ scrap prices

    Heres the current NZ prices. The NZ$ is worth US$0.80cents. So the NZ$ is 80% of the US$
    Copper
    No 1 $7.43
    No 2 $6.94
    Domestic $6.62
    Burnt $6.62
    Radiators $4.04


    Aluminium
    Cans $0.99
    Cast $1.12
    Clip $1.21
    Domestic $1.12
    Extrusion $1.40
    Irony $0.30

    Brass
    Mixed $4.60
    Swarf $3.88

    Stainless
    Solids $1.34
    Oversize $0.99
    Swarf $0.49



    Heavy Steel / per Ton

    its weird for me.. im trying to convert the mass and the price at the same time... "(NZ$ x .8) / (weight/2.2)" = price/lb... its a challenge to keep track of for each catagory in my head

    I think if you took his price and divided by 2.2, then multiplied that by .80, you'd get the US price per pound. For instance - The price of copper is NZ $7.43. So, 7.43 / 2.2 = 3.377 (pound). 3.77 * .80 = $2.70 (US) per pound.


    The .80 will change by the exchange rate but the 2.2 will be a constant.
