    Indianpolis Scrap Metal Pricing...

    Got $270/nt for shred at an OmniSource location in Indy today, highest price I can remember getting.



    Will probably take some brass, Al, #2 Ins. and #2 Cu tomorrow, and MAYBE some batteries and computer power supplies. I will update this thread tomorrow with current pricing.

    Hope you folks are all finding the goods, good luck to everyone!

    Word is there is a place in lake station IN. that is paying 280 a ton

    A different yard (Exit 14 on I-69) paid $2.50/lb on #2 Cu this week.

    Haven't been in this week, but at the largest yard in town, the Oliver Ave. OmniSource location shred was down to $170 last week.

    Up here at the north end of the state the prices on alum. and #2 insulated are holding steady.

    #2 insul. - $ 1.10 lb
    Elec. Mtr - . 25 lb
    Alum. old sheet - .55 lb
    Alum MCL - .62 lb
    Alum ext. - .70 lb
    SS 304 - .60 lb.

    Just dropped off some cans today (8/3) in Indy. Prices I found:
    Ray's (Farnsworth) - .50/lb
    OmniSource (Oliver) - .46/lb

    I keep hearing that Omni pays more, though. What location are you guys using?

    I just took some stuff in today and got .52 for cans, .55 for cast alum, and $250. nt for clean steel.
