    When are prices set?

Is pricing for non pm set on a daily, weekly or monthly basis? Sorry if this has been asked but I searched forum and did not see anything. I know that pm is constantly changing according to stock markets but what about ferrous metals?

Monthly, of course if the mills feels like dropping the price in the middle of the month they can and they can reject whatever they want for whatever reason they want. Welcome to the scrap industry its a tough tough industry to make it in.

Ferrous seems to be monthly, non-ferrous can change day to day depending on the contracts sold. My yard will usually check open contracts to give me the best prices they can.

Non-Ferrous prices are usually daily according the comex. Want to stay up on the prices then throw down 900 for a yearly subscription to amm.com
