I know you can still add that requirement if you already have an item listed.
Go to your active selling item list.
Go to "more actions" on the right.
    Revise.
Scroll down to "Select how you'll be paid" (I know laughable isn't it?)
    Click "add or remove options"
This will bring up a pop up page and you'll see where you can check a box to require immediate payment when using Buy it Now.

If you're beginning an item, it's still there under the PayPal section of Select how you'll be paid. You just have to check the box now.

Update: It's different if you're using the mobile app. You have to go to Revise item, payment methods. Then click the "show more options" drop down menu and it's there.

Yeah, they are going so buyer friendly that it's going to get bad with tire kickers buying items and deciding not to like them.

It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of international selling. I finally had to just list with my mobile app, then go in on my computer and revise to remove the international options. I don't sell internationally mainly because our local post office doesn't do the paperwork often and it's such a pain to go through.

they change alot of stuff around,,,they once changed 45 of my listings to free shipping....wouldnt you know i sold like 15 heavy items that night....i called ebay and after 4 hours and 3 calls i got all the shipping paid for by ebay.....it actually worked in my favor that time,,,but it could have been real bad....and then i had to manually change every listing back to the right shipping

I have found international shipping to be very simple if you buy your postage through ebay. When you buy the postage the forms pop up online and you mainly have to just verify that he entries are correct and then the forms will automatically print instead of the regular postage label. Of course, now ebay has the international shipping setup for those that do not want to hassle with it. You just ship it to a location they have in the Midwest and they take it from there. Your obligation ends once it is received at their transfer point.

I'll second harsas's opinion on the international shipping option. It's helped me sell several items. All I have to to is mail the item to KY and ebay handles the rest. Buyer pays for customs fee and probably additional postage costs. It increases your potential customer base and doesn't cost you any more. What's not to love?

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING with international shipping...the only shipper that has DOOR TO DOOR tracking is UPS. The rest do not...and from experience, it will BITE YOU IN THE ASS. I shipped a cell phone to Russia and it got "lost"...guess what, Paypal refunded the person the money and I am out the money and the iphone (purchased for resale and I am out $$$). Now I have terms and conditions that state they can't refund only arbitration AND that once it left my hand I was no longer responsible....etc etc.

Anyway, I only ship higher end items out via UPS (and it is EXPENSIVE) to protect myself...

WHAT Paper work? >> What pain??

I print my labels online and International is as easy as Domestic
If shipping First Class, Priority Flat Rate Envelope or Small Priority Flat Rate >> All max 4 pounds and treated as First Class
You can use the normal 1/2 sheet self stick label and the customs form is part of the label

If using Priority by weight or the Medium or Large Flat Rate Box's
You use regular paper to print the label >> Uses 2 full sheets >> You get 2 >> 1/2 sheet labels on each sheet for a total of 4 labels
3 go into the clear pouch and you keep the one labeled "Customer copy"
You can get the clear pouch for FREE from your local PO OR order them online for FREE >> https://store.usps.com/store/browse/...y-mail-express

Once you have the package labeled and ready to go >> Just put where ever you put your Domestic packages
No other special handling needed on your part

I like International sales as it generates additional profit
All my Domestic sales have FREE shipping >> Shipping cost for zone 8 built into the cost
The International Buyers pay full counter shipping cost s PLUS One Dollar
So what I had built in for the Domestic shipping is pure PROFIT

I ship direct to the Buyer and do NOT use the eBay GSP program

The customs form prints as part of the label
It will use the eBay name as the name of the product
Best to dumb down the names >> Instead of 12K gold diamond studded men watch >> I make Men Watch

Buyer pays any import fees their Country may charge

    Angry

Back to the dang "payment now" option...

While I understand sending off the invoice is for people who aren't setup to pay immediately (I'm guessing they refuse to get a paypal account), what annoys the living bejezus outta me is the people you send an invoice to who refuse to pay until the automatic dispute for non-payment kicks in after four days. Twice, TWICE this week I'm dealing with it. The first one, the person didn't pay till the dispute process kicked in automatically. This one, we're going on day three of non payment after getting the invoice. I find it extremely rude and ignorant to drag the process out. I wish I could get away with passive aggressive positive feedback. Like, "Good Buyer, thanks for payment 5 days after invoice sent, THANKS!!"

the only time i ever send an invoice is if i am combining shipping charges or have worked out a deal to add faster more expensive shipping......i dont have the auto unpaid item set up,,,,i give people 3 to 4 days before i file a claim......ebay automatically will send them an invoice and they also send them reminders also......i get a non payer or two once in a while,,,it is agravating.....the guy that bought the item that inspired me to post this thread actually paid me early the next morning,,,he did however use an e check and this is only his second purchase ever....it should clear tomorrow,,,,i have faith in him...at least i do at the moment.....ill let you know if his e check bounces tomorrow ...then ill not have so much faith huh

Regardless of changes , no cash in Pay Pal no shipping thats been my golden rule

Annnnd like clockwork once the automatic dispute for non payment kicked in the person paid. Twice this week. It's such a waste of time.

    So annoying.

shoot, this week i had an echeck that took 4 days to clear,,,then it cleared in paypal but would not clear in ebay...so there was an hour gone on the phone.....then last night i listed another concrete saw for parts and it sold within a few seconds.....ok the buyer pm,d and said hey this said free shipping and when i try to pay it is charging me close to 30 dollars.....i say well im very sorry sir but it did not have free shipping,,,,ya ya ya ya ya back and forth as nice as i could...then i was so happy he threatened me with bad feedback if i didnt give him free shipping.....this guy had over 8000 feedback and also sells saw parts.....

i reported him today and they said they will take care of it....i got the customer service agents name and the call number,,i didnt feel comfortable with what the csr told me to do but i done it anyhow......he said i had to send the customer a cancellation notice...he gave me his word if the customer declines it that since i have the messages with feedback threats in them....that any feedback or defects will be removed......

oh yeah somehow they are saying i didnot upload tracking in time on one of my sales and i clearly did....its a glitch of somesort......he transfered me to a different department but after already being on the phone for an hour i didnt feel like waiting on another csr....so tomorrow or the next day ill have to call back

it seems like when it rains it pours.....i cant gripe to much ive made close to a grand on ebay in the last week,,,with my account and my shared account...
