Hate to tell you guys that even though Ebay AND Paypal SUCKS.....it si what it is....they OWN the market with amazon coming in 2nd. All those other places do NOT have the traffic you have on either Ebay or Amazon....members and traffic equals better bids and more money. Sorry it sucks, but I have done ecommerce in one form or another since amazon and Eaby came out.

The only other option really to get good pricing is to make your own online store and promote it....you have to get ranked for the keywords people search for, or have a vast network of clients ect. There are people that SELL on Ebay but have their own online stores...so they end up selling one item to someone and then markets to that person and they end up coming back over and over to their online store. It is not difficult to set up a store...the issue is ranking, especially with Google's changes to their keyword research tool....ie if you are not an adsense customer and buy ads, you don't get to see keywords and rankings of those for free anymore....granted there are other ways to find out the successful KW's.

If you hate them so much and I just don't understand the amount of hatred for them...yes you pay fee....well you pay an auction house 20%+ to sell stuff...I pay about 10% TOTAL on Ebay including Paypal fees....and if you accept credit cards on your site, well you will have similar fees from your CC processor. Again, just sayin'! Go amazon if you have stuff that makes sense to be sold on there, but it is a different ballgame with them.

If you are have questions, hit me up and I will point you in the right directions for online carts....again I have done stuff for 15+ years and have owned and ran stores all the way to a 1 MILLION product store about 10 years ago.

google search has certainly changed, any search now leading to commercial enterprises(don't try convincing me google doesn't get a kickback of some form for "clicks" to those links) instead of leading to answers to whatever question you posed

My main prob with Amazon is you must name a price(no auction style)

Ebay has cultivated a whole strain of "buyers" who don't wish to pay ; )

Well, if we could all take a couple of weeks and check out the top 2 or 3 other than eBay and amazon and decide as a group which would be best we could then do business with them and network to get others in and build our traffic. Its got to start somewhere. I saw this article and remembered all the people I've heard complain about eBay and thought I would share.

Open unpaid item dispute at day 2
    Close at day 6
This gives the "Buyer" an unpaid item strike
Set your blocks so "Buyers" with 2 or more strikes can't place a bid
Neither party can leave Feed Back at that point
Your Final Value Fees will be refunded
Safe at that point to sell the item again >> Either on eBay or another site

Another option is if selling fixed price
    Require Immediate payment

Now, in the event that you do have an unpaid item, you can file a case as early as 2 days after a transaction ends and payment is not received—either manually in the Resolution Center or by choosing the 2-day option with Unpaid Item Assistant. - See more at: Spring Seller Update reminder: New seller protections start this month, new categories and item specifics now available | eBay Announcement Page
