    Looking for a phone

Does anyone have either of these 2 phones?

I have the non slider one, but the sound does not work unless you have earphones plugged in, so I resorted back to my blackberry.

However, to use square (cc system), then I need android or iphone.

I would prefer the slider phone, but either is fine as long as the sound works!

Might try ebay. Am looking to replace my blackberry (ear piece went bad), found a brand new one that had sold for 22 bucks.

    Hi George

You could always try buying a replacement speaker. They are generally easy to fit - you just need those little torx screwdrivers.

Without knowing the exact cause of no sound at all, unless headphones are plugged in, it is pointless.

Well, so far ebay is a bust. The ones that "work" are going for retail price or much higher than retail. The phone is under $200, and I see phones on there for almost $300, that is a major rip off.

Amazon is the same story. Guess I will just have to see if anyone has one.

    Samsung vs. LG

I've had phones by both manufacturers. I've found that the Samsung was more reliable. If you have a choice, I would suggest it.

The samsung precedent with straighttalk is what I have now. I like it, but no sound unless I plug in headphones, which is why I am looking for a new one.
