Thinking about buying a generator, just a small cheap one to run a reciprocating saw(sawzall)
how many watts should I get? 1000? Maybe run some small lights too, there are tons of old derelict houses here in the sticks with no power
thanks guys

i made the mistake of buying a generator for cutting scrap.... your much better off buying a cheap used gas powered cut off saw and buying metal cutting blades. it will cut through anything much quicker then a recipricating saw. unfortunately somebody stole mine out of my pickup while i was at work, shoulda got the door locks fixed, it had already paid for itself several times cutting up rusted out farm equipment.
I didn't want to buy a generator, or an air compressor for air powered tools, or go completely cordless, so I bought a new car battery and a small inverter. Or buy MORE overpriced gas for the gen.
Charge the battery when needed, no wear and tear on your truck battery, AND...get this... when your battery finally dies, you can scrap it
