    Pentium Pro - Live Scrap Out - Now On!

    I been doing lots of reading and all's good, I've learnt a lot of things, like many of you are nuts, but that's cool.

    Pentium Pro threads are a plenty, i've enjoyed reading a lot of them as it seems they hit the spot everywhere in the world.
    I been getting the odd tower here and there, ibm pc 365's mostly and been stacking them complete along with some other models I like.
    hasn't bothered me up until today so I decided to scrap one out, they all run, really smooth, I can't believe how quiet they work compared to today.

    I picked out the worst of the lot, the base is getting a bit rusty so it's not real good to collect, and it's lighter then the rest, probably has things removed
    so it's the obvious choice to scrap out now.

    Here's our victim, an IBM PC 365

    Slid the door open to find some emptyness already

    The back isn't setting my world on fire either, probably a scrapped out dud but we'll see, it runs good.

    The rusty base

    ok time to get the case open and have a look inside, next pics to come asap, stay tuned, guests sign up and join my chat!

    Looking in from the right side I see there's no hard drive, might explain why it's so quiet when it's turned on

    oh no! can you see it? is that an empty socket 8 I see?
    one down, we need to go to the other side, hope for the best!

    took off the top bracket and got the finger cards, a diamond stealth 2000 3d card, pretty nice.
    now it's just us and the bare motherboard, heatsink is the final frontier

    And don't forget the gold pins on the back of the floppy drive for your "OMG it's gold" bucket.
    Course I pull them down for the motors and the gold plated diode in the eye. It's just the way I am,,,

    Thanks for the comments.
    might have to look into the gold diodes mentioned in the floppy as i'm always looking to put something in my "OMG it's gold" bucket.
    which sits right in between my "yay it's copper" bucket and my "ffs it just aluminum" bucket.

    I usually grab the pins and motors and the CD/DVD drives have the eye/diode I was talking about.

    Here's what they look like;

    and where to find them;

    oh those eyes, yep I have a bucket for them already, I like to keep the whole eye housing as it seems there's more to them then just gold.
