    CPU with Pins vs Dots

I have attempted a couple searches but could not find the info I was looking for. Can someone please tell me if there is a great difference in value in CPUs with dots (like a P4) vs one with pins (celeron). I now have 1 P4 and 2 celeron CPUs.

I have just started looking at CPU as the yard I go to takes mobos as is, even with a huge heat sink on it for $1.75/lb. I was happy with this but after reading through the e-waste threads here I am considering starting a collection of CPUs.

Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The ones with the dots are called "pinless" cpus. that may help your searching.
