How to ID an Intel Cpu

Ok I know there is a list i have seen but I can't seem to find it.
The Intel cpu I have is:
Intel P4
E4700/ Intel core 2
2.6 ghz/2m/800/06
3803B331

Is there a web site I can punch these numbers into to see the specs (IE what gen it is)
and what number would I use to Identify the cpu?

Intel CPU part numbers always start with S and are 5 characters long. Google the part number and you should find everything you need.

Also, the numbers you listed here are pretty much the basic specs. If you google "e4700 processor" you should find the intel page with the details on it.

I googled the specs for a SL7z9:
I am trying to find these numbers from https://ark.intel.com/products/27478...Hz-800-MHz-FSB

I know its a socket set of 775 but I don't see anything that looks like E8400 or the number is SL7z9.

This description of the cpu doesn't seem correct. A P4 chip can't be a CORE 2. Either way, it probably shouldn't matter. P4's and Core 2 E4700 are both essentially scrap.

Well I save the core 2 duo that are 6m L2 cache, basically the E8400, E8500 and E8600, and bring them to my buyer from here. But yeah, I pretty much think those will be on the "scrap" list very soon.

Yeah e8400 e8500 and e8600 still have some resell value but it is quickly going away. Quad cores are falling fast as well.
