Want some these boxes to ship the better than scrap boards to customers after selling
them in eBay or what not?

You pay cost of shipping and can have as many as yo7 want. Or does everyone like the free priority mail boxes.

I really hate to be a Debbie down. If you are that hard up for some boxes you need to rethink your shipping.

Do you think those flat rate shipping boxes from the US post office are free to the US post office?

The US post office pays for those boxes. I have bought things off ebay and the item was sent in a flatrate shipping box that came free from the post office. I open the box and the contents is stuffed in a free padded flat rate envelope from the post office. Inside of a free flat rate shipping box from the US post office.

One guy charged me 20 dollars for shipping and probably didn't spend a minute packaging the item.

So if you are some slime off the bottom of the bucket and want cheap shipping should you really be offering any item for sale?

I use USPS packaging a lot. Are they free, no they are paid for when you pay for the postage. When determining what to use for packaging you have to consider the protection of the item being shipping along with the cost of shipping. For me the best is using the USPS Flat Rate boxes and envelopes but this is not every case.

Since USPS First Class Packages has gone up to 1 pound in weight it has opened many more times I use my own packaging. So would I like to have some boxes on hand that might not get used often, yes I would so I am interested to see what he has.

So I don't understand why this is a problem because you did not explain it. 2 days ago I sold a broken ham radio for $399.95 plus $45 for shipping. The box weighed 32 lbs and was 24" X 23" X 12" and it only cost me $24.65 to ship. Did I rip him off no I was prepared to ship it to CA. which would have cost about $45. I got to keep the additional $20 for my self. I've screwed up and come out on the wrong end of deals like this before and not charged enough for shipping.

The guy who bought my radio couldn't be happier, he got what he wanted at a price he was happy with. I am wondering about the time it takes to pack something and charging you $20 for shipping, why was it a problem?

This next statement I really don't understand. Am I slime for shipping the cheapest way possible? If you are referring to the practice of using the USPS boxes and envelopes inappropriately, ie packing material for inside the shipping container then yep that person is breaking the contract.

I just go to a mall and look in the cardboard dumpster and find a box that suits my needs. Many times I will cut the box in two and put it together in a way so that the interior more closely fits the item I want to ship. If you have consistent items that require consistent size boxes, I can see paying for packing boxes. My shipping containers are varied due to the fact things that I ship are inconsistent.
