Hi there my name is Jessica and like i said, Im retarded. I have scrapped some metal in the past but i am not to experienced, by that i mean I'll scrap it if it comes along, I have gotten down and dirty with tons of wire a few times but seriously im a girl that loves girl stuff.
Any way a friend of mine came across some old breaker components and parts , plating, connected, switches, you know the kind. Well she is all excited because she is convinced she has found treasure. I don't want to be a Scrooge, but I think all the parts are she is crazy about are brass and copper, she thinks they could be gold and silver. I have been searching for info on the precious metals in antique breakers and boxes but no dice. Could anyone please help us out, the parts are from an old electrical shindig, the housing for them is Trumbull and made of porcelain, many of the the thing's and connectors have numbers and letters on them, which is one reason she feels they are extremely valuable, they are small for such effort. I guess a good question would be if anyone knows the precious metals used in antique breaker assemblies, i know its not uncommon to find silver and such,
Alright im off to continue looking up the propaganda electricians and how they were stealing gold and hiding it in interior electric to hide the evidence. Lol Thank you
