Getting bids is the trick. I didn't see that any sold or even got bid on.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Looked to me like both auctions ended in sales for about $75.00 each auction

Keep a lookout for the old stamped steel patio chairs, either the glider or the springy rocker. They are coming back in style and people around here are buying them for $20 -$50 depending on how shabby they are. The shabbier the better it seems. I haven't found any lately since they became popular, but used to see them all the time in piles at the yard.

Also look out for the type that the metal is actually woven then press formed.

I sold these 5 for $600. They were made by Russell Woodard in the 50's they are called Sculptura.
I have sold other spring type chairs for about $50 each, I always love it when people throw away $100 bills.

I have sold the stamped spring style. Guy drove like 40 miles one way. I hear the ones that look like a clam shell on the back rest are hot.

Sounds like there are some people out there that would rather buy older items and refurbish them.
Perhaps for the style or perhaps maybe just to avoid buying your typical stuff that is available from most stores that is imported from
...I'm sure you all know from where. I really don't want to get into that can of worms though, lol
