I am scrapping a lot of old telephone server stuff lately. I have taken some pictures along the way. This is a big job for me and I will take pictures. I am going to be dealing with a lot of different boards and I will try to share them with you as I go along and discover different boards. I have some of the stuff now and will be getting in the a truck load Thursday. This project also includes some radio controller stuff too. I have dismantled one and it has 20+ lbs of aluminum heat sinks and 100+ screws. I do have a interesting silver boards in this unit that I am still looking into.
If anyone has seen these silver looking boards before I would thank you ahead of time for a heads up as to what they are. I am going to be dealing with the boards from this project with one of our own buyers from here on the forum. We have already spoke to one another.
Here are some pictures of the radio controller unit.
1) The first picture is of the radio controller units in their racks.
2) This picture is of the controller unit opened up in the front.
3) This is the heat sink on the unit. It has 28 screws securing it to the controller.
4) This is the front of the board under the heat sink. Whatever the silver base metal is on the board is VERY thick. You can literally feel the thickness with your finger nail.
5) Here is the back of the same board. Notice the pools of metal.
6) Here is a close up of the same board on the back side better showing the puddles of the metal coating.
The next few pictures will be of a few random boards. I will number each in case anyone wants to reference any of them in their comments.

I would like to hear your opinion about the board that was under the heat sink. I can't figure out why there was such a serious heat sink. What do you think the base metal, (silver looking metal) is?
