    should rebar be 100/ton

    So I bring in 1320 pounds of rebar tday, I had about 50 pounds of steel so I drop it in the mixed metal pile its totaled to about 140 dollars I got in to the desk to get my money I get 210/t at this place for mixed metal so I ask the girl if I put the rebar somewere else wuld it be worth more I tell her how much I had nd she goes oh rebars accually a lot less she rewrites my receipt nd it totals to 66 bucks 100/t,so if I wuldnt of said anything I wulda over doubled my money oh does that ever make me mad shuld rebar even be 100/t anyway

    I don't think it would be worth less. As far as I know, my yard buys it as steel. Next time, just back up, unload the junk, drive away, and get paid.

    I typically don't bother separating the ferrous metals, usually isn't THAT much of a price difference for me to go out of my way to sort it for them.
