    question about ebay dispute...

I just lost a dispute as a seller. (as expected).. on ebay. They refunded him the full purchase price and shipping. Am I under the correct assumption, that he doesn't have to return the item as well??

DID ebay refund him the money or did they take it from your account? If they refunded them then yes he doesnt have to return the item. If they took the money from your account then you need to call EBAY and ask them for your item back.

Money should not have been taken from your account until there was DC showing the item had been returned to you >> $Total Price $249.99 and less
Or Signature Confirmation Total Price $250.00 and greater

eBay has made exceptions in the past of just yanking the money if you had no returns listed

If you don't offer returns on an item, and they file an "item not as described" case, they get refunded out of your pocket and get to keep the item. Always offer returns.

I am one of those weird ones who has never bought or sold an item on ebay, and I do not intend to start now with the horror stories about them lately. JMHO. It obviously works well for some and I am glad it works for them but I don't need the frustration.

The real problem is selling on ebay because they just make it too easy for the scumbags to cheat you. The same policies that make it suck to sell also make it great to buy. I wouldn't hesitate to buy something off ebay, they certainly protect the buyer.
