    Angry Everyone a scrapper

You know times are tough and everyone is scrapping when you see two different people walking to work and both of them are carrying 2 or 3 stomped aluminum cans. Saw it this morning.

    Yeah, guilty. Done it.

I don't even hunt cans per se, but if I'm out and see one near the van, I'll stomp it and put it in under the seat, or I keep a bucket in the back for potentially sticky/leaky cans.

I do the same thing. I have been trying to walk a bit to get more exercise (brisk pace), and when I do I wear trousers or shorts with cargo pockets for any scrap I find on the side of the road. If I find cans I will flatten then and stick them in one of the side pockets. I generally hoard cans until I have about 100 lbs before I turn them in.

Question if 2 cents were on the sidewalk would you pick them up? A can is now worth 2 cents! Pick them up while you can

I agree with you all. But if it's beer cans I find, then I separate them, as they are worth 10 cents each here at the beer store.

I do the same thing, except I carry plastic grocery bags, and try to walk where I think alot of cans would be. Usually get 2-3 bags in an hour or 2.

I also carry a plastic grocery bag in one of my pockets in case I find so many cans that I cannot fit any more in the cargo pockets.
