Extruded Aluminum??

Been scrappin' for about 20 years. Went to the scrapyard the other day, had mixed aluminum on my trailer. Usually where i go the guy just brings out three dumpsters and lets me sort my load into each one, clip, sheet, and extruded. And I have a couple of barrels of some other types on there as well. This time, there was a new guy, he informed me that my extruded was #1, and #2, never had heard this before. He said that all painted extruded was #2. I was amazed, and asked him if he would like me to steam wash the aluminum the next time I brought it in. I take all steel and glass out of my extruded. it's as clean as I can get it without physically washing it. Anyone else ever run into this???? Check the ISRI standards, it says nothing about painted extruded aluminum...

Welcome to the Forum, Shadow. No, I've never heard of Extrusion being graded. I'd ask for a published Price Sheet.

I may do that, I have been going there for over 15 years, and that is the first time that has happened....
