    analising a class 2 medium size transformer

    med size transformer 13Vx1.3Amp

    whole weight 140z x .20 motor price .182 cents

    broken down:

    #2 copper 3.8 oz @ $3.20 LB = .76 cents

    #2 ins .8 oz @ $140 lb = .09 cents



    y brass @$2.24 = .014 cents

    #2 iron @ .10 = .091cents

    est value .86 cents

    in a lot of 100 + a long day couls make an SIS scrapper $86

    some places accept transformers with number 2 insulated wire?? yes/no?

    I put my tranformers in with my motors but cut as much of the wire off as possible and put it with the insulated since that pays more then the motors. Someday I will break down motors and strip the insulated but don't have time now so I just turn it in.
