This is a long shot but giving it a try. Helping a friend. He owns property located on both sides of Route 3, Palermo. About one acre each. The South side is bare with woods on three sides and easy access. The North side has a building which is set up as an office but resembles a small house and has kitchen facilities. The rear of the building is set up for vehicles to drive into (think repairing or detailing). It has hinged doors but is set up for an overhead door. There is parking area behind and to both sides for trucks/trailers.
The owner is wanting a renter who can maintain the site with a minimum of "babysitting". This means you could take care of small stuff that comes up, mowing, snow etc. I would really like it, myself, but simply can't justify the added expense (I just don't need it). It would make an ideal location for a used car lot.
$400/mo + electricity, phone etc. This area is on private well & septic so no water/sewer bills. If you want to look it up on a map, it's 350 Rte 3, Palermo, Maine. Rte 3 is the main highway in this area and is two-lane. Having to wait for more than three cars means it's tourist season. Five is a traffic jam.
