In order of typical value: Sheet aluminum will be cheapest, then stainless steel and Extrusion worth more. All within a few cents a pound and SS may at times be worth the least.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

Stainless weighs more volume wise, so I do go after even small bits of stainless steel.

Whats the story with Ali Extrusion? I have always put my extrusion (from ovens & windows etc) in as 'domestic'.
Should I save it all up & put it in separate?

Depends on the yard, smaller yards it seems put cast, domestic, and extrusion all in together at about $1.10 AUD a KG around my way.

A large yard I used to go to paid $1.30 kg for extrusion and $1.10 for the rest (cans were $1.00 kg..)

    hope that helps Kiwi?

Nikel price dropped so SS is around $1.00 AUD a KG at the moment..
