Howdy,
Found this site when I did a search on how to remove copper from stators.
(looks like there is no easy way.)
My son actually started me in the scrap hobby. I thought he was nuts when he started haulin in scrap cars at the age of 13. Told me he would make enough to cover my fuel and more. Yeah, right.
I humored him and had to eat my words.
8 years later he is now living the life of a scrapper, and I look to maximize the non-ferrous side of my hobby.

Hi, Patton. Welcome and pull up a chair with a cup of coffee. There's enough information re: scrapping non-ferrous to keep you busy reading for awhile.

ya hey dere! Welcome aboard. Join in the fun and invite the son to join in the forum as well. How old is he now? We have a few young scrappers here that post as well.

He is 20 now. Works as an asst. manager at a yard. While scrapping everything he can get a hold of on the side.
