Trash night treasure and auction good luck

Well tonights trash run only took 2 hours and I think I now have the neighborhood down to where I dont have to look at my gps much anymore. Well me and the daughter got the following.
    2 tv's
    1 weight bench
    3 vacuums
    basketball hoop
3 mailboxes full of scrap metal
    bunch of guters
    1 grill
    1 lawn chair
and maybe 200 pounds of just straight scrap metal

Not a bad haul for 2 hours of driving around.

On a side note the auction I went to on saturday night was ended up giving away everything no one bid on at the end of the auction. So I walked out with.
    4 TV's
    fireplace set
2 lightbars like you would find above mirror in bathroom
    indoor electric grill
30 pound wall sconce for like 10 candles
    mic stand
some big wierd electric light thing
And i paid $15 bucks for a box of wood chisels

When it was all said and done I got to talking to the owner operator of the small auction and they will use me to haul metal away for them. So I gave him a business card I made and now have another contact.

When you say 3 mailboxes full, are you talking about those white plastic mail bins? Just clarifying.

    Good work!

Good point. I was thinking like three mailboxes on wooden posts full of scrap metal. I was scratching my head on that one. "Why would someone stuff a mailbox full of metal and set it at the curb..."

Or maybe they did! We'll find out!

Thats exactly what they did. they tore something apart and stuffed the mailboxes you know the metal ones with the flag on the side clean full of scrap metal. Just steel but hey every penny counts.

I know what you mean about every penny counts. I always grab what I can, even the metal broom sticks! Don't weigh a lot but it all adds up. I guess my vision was correct. A mailbox laying on the curb with metal hanging out of it. Seems like a logical place to stuff it if it's all going to the curb I guess.
