what model car have you picked up for scrap most?

Going to go out on a limb and say Malibu for these past couple years, yes? or any similar GM 3.1/3.4 car.

Just wondering, I don't scrap but browse CL often and see them at $200 all the time.

Surprised to hear a fullsize truck, didn't think anyone sold them cheap enough to make it worth your time. Usually see fullsize trucks at $750+.

They are few and far between but in the last year I have probably put a dozen or so in their final resting place. I'm not picky when it comes to cars anything I can turn a buck on after figuring in the cost of gas.

Malibu's are great- weighty for their size, usually alum rims and a nice GM breadloaf converter. Made some duckets on them as well as many other makes and models though.
I basically just have a list of things I "stay away from" instead. They include: Any Honda that a kid has dropped, or "modified" in any way- because the 1st thing to go- is the converter.. and they weigh nothing
Also don't deal in Eagle Talons, Lancers, or any other puny weight cars. Unless I get em for super cheap- the body alone won't outweigh my cash investment.
    Just my .02
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!

    1. GM Front WD Chevy Lumina, Buick Regal, Monte Carlo, Malibu, Oldsmobile Delta 88-98 or Cutlass Supreme
    2. Ford Taurus
    3. Ford F150 F250
    4. Chevy S-10 Blazer or Pickup
    5. Mopar K Body Cars Plymouth Acclaim, Plymouth Horizon, Dodge Aries, ETC

Its sad to say that the most popular car I scrap is a GM product, but it seem there is a lot more of these cars on the road. And usually you can find them everywhere for a couple hundred bucks.

I get calls all the time and the most common around here are:

    Dodge Neon
    Sunfire/cavalier
    Blazers
    F150s
    Rangers
    Midsize GMs always.
    Dodge intrepids/chrysler concord/sebring

Really dont see much else to be honest. The odd oddball cars. Imports arent common.
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...
