depending on condition they may be worth more as a fork lift than for scrap, depending on age and what engine is in them someone may want the engine.

Depending on age, an overhaul could lead to more profit. I used to buy portable welders and forklifts to repair then sell. The pneumatic tired lift trucks no matter the age always sell, if ti has the hard rubber tires it make it a hard sell. Scrap it.

If the forks are of the longer type these sell for big bucks, if there is visible alterations done to the forks welding or holes cut into he ends their scrap unless they're sold for private use.

Used to be that farmers would buy the mast and forks to retrofit onto a 3 point hitch for farm use.

How many stages on the mast, how may pounds are they rated for.

What kind of fork lifts are they, can you post some pictures, this will aid us in helping you determine the correct way of disposing of them.

I scrapped one a while back. Electric. The forklift brought in $300, and the batteries brought in another $300. That was nice!

a few months back I cut up three truckloads of drivable running fork trucks the market is flooded with them and whoever bought the lot at auction determined they werent worth sitting on. The scrap yard pulled out two of them and they ran like a champ and the rest got cut up the market for resale is flooded for solid tire small lifts. These things were good looking to anyhow are u going to sell them whole or cut them up and prepare them. Breaking them down will result in HMS and a solid cast iron counter weight. You can't get P and S for any of it the chemisty isn't right because it has hardening alloys in it. Beware the side pockets contain gas or diesel in one side and hydraulic fluid in the other and all of the hydraulic lines will be full of oil so drain them and try not to injure yourself cutting them up drain the lines and tanks and have at it. On a forklift, Definatly pull the batteries and the forks. The rest would go as Unprepared Steel at most yards. Let them cut it up, you'll make more in the long run that way.

If it moves (Even if the batteries are bad) you might be able to sell the engine to a hobbyist looking to make an electric car. I've seen a few postings about them!

I have a old ac fork lift I was going to sell for parts it's still setting in shead after 4 years. You might be able to do better than I did good trans new tires. Rebuilt cylinders. Next time I get some time it's scrap yard bound.

Save the pump forks battery some of the frame for firewood splitters cylinders front lift frame. Transmission got lot of alum. In it brass clutch plates. Save the tires might come in handy later

I don't see a categorie "equipment" on Craiglist.
What's the best way to advertise it?

You know, if you all really want to scrap a forklift, trade ma and scrap mine! I have a stand-on and ride electric, wish I had gotten a propane rider instead.
