    dishwasher motors

Usually I don't break down appliance motors because most of them are aluminum windings. Today I had 30 dishwashers on the trailer and some spare time so I broke them down. Got 28 pounds of insulated wire and better yet, 26 of them had copper windings in the motors!

Got a free D/W yesterday...just ran down and checked and what do ya know, copper motor. Had a few bits of stainless as well. Got an old one a couple of weeks ago and the tub was steel, almost weighed as much as a dryer.

The stainless works out to be about 10Kg per SS dishwasher.
