Buying Vintage Computers/Accessories - paying over scrap prices (Midwest/East Coast)

Greetings! I am a large scale collector of vintage computers. I am located in Northeast Ohio, but I travel all over the East Coast and Midwest buying old computers in large quantity. I am looking for anything Windows 98 or Apple 1999 and older. The older the better of course. I buy computers, old monochrome monitors, accessories, software, etc. Please message me if you have anything like that in a large quantity. Thanks! -Ben @ 330-365-6296 (call/text)

    Welcome Ben!
I had the opportunity to work with Ben a few weeks ago. I highly recommend him as a vintage buyer. He is a top notch guy, fair and motivated. He is willing to travel and is knowledgeable of all things vintage. He purchased many of my items I have previously posted in my "Day in the life" post. After we loaded his van FULL, and my wallet FULL, I now have some much needed space for ... you guest it ... more SCRAP !!! Thanks Ben !!!

Just scrapped a Mac 2fx last week. Didn't realize they were worth anything more than scrap. Still have the boards.

Just looked it up. That was about a $9,000 computer in the early 90's.

I swear to everything holy I will be through this pile of computers sometime in the next couple months...I do have some 3.1, 95, and 98 stuff. Just found a nice pile of old hard drives too. I have no idea on the age of some of them, but I'm guessing 3.1 era on some. Unsure as to their working status though. I'll be in touch as the time draws near.

Contacted Ben when he first posted about some items I have and haven't heard from him since.
We were trying to arrange a meet-up and purchase and messages have gone unanswered.

I, too, have not had any success in reaching him, recently. The replies were very good, at first. I learned what he was interested in and sent pics. Several emails since and no reply. I've been meaning to call but, since I was waiting on feedback about photos, phone chatter seemed like the wrong way to go. However, I know he does long trips so he may just be away from his "desk." I will probably try again, soon, but I won't do much after that step.

If anyone deals with Ben regularly, do you want to broker the sale of some older equipment? PM me.

Hello everyone! Please be sure to call me at 330-365-6296. I don't check this forum very often and will most likely not see the message for some time. For those who did contact me I thank you. I did have a couple people contact me that did not have the ability to text and I kept getting strange FaceTime calls. If that is you, please voice call me. Thanks!

I have the material but I don't feel confident that he's got the 5 digit check.
Homework is done, show me the money.

I had a chance to meet Ben about a week ago. He was upbeat, friendly, and easy to deal with. He stopped by my yard and picked a few vintage items out of my pile. He paid me on the spot and I was happy (way more than scrap value). Saving up the next load of vintage stuff for him as we speak.

Hello. Yes, I did say at least an 8x6 trailer full because you are several hours from me. If you were in Ohio or Western PA, it would be a different story. You only have two computers now. Sorry.
