Hi gang. I recently stumbled onto this web site and fell in love! I live in Snohomish Washington and am 28 yrs old.I started scrapping full time about 2 months ago. The last 2 years i have been a private contractor working for a company that manages foreclosed homes for 17 different banks throughout the region. The work was very steady...but after having to pay for all my own gas (about $200 a week), driving to hell and gone and working about 60+ hours a week for meager pay a change was due. Our company handled a ton of trash outs. After watching my boss throw away 1000's of dollars in scrap the first year i worked for him, I asked if i could take charge of scrapping out the properties. within a month he was amazed (as was I honestly), how much extra money the "trash" I was recycling was bringing in! Me and my wife just had our first child and needed a bigger place. We were living in Puyallup and moved up here to be closer to my family. After my scrapping experiences with my old company I decided to take the plunge and buy a trailer and start working for myself recycling. I had a few leads to start of with and took off running! I'm already making more than i was at my last job. I've been learning as i go and this website has been very helpful.
