small gold boards from commercial mimaki printer ink cartridges

at my work we go through several ink cartridges for our large printer, used to print wallpaper and such. each cartridge has one of these little chips on it, kind of similar to a sim card. We throw all the used ink out, but ive been pulling off all these chips off because of the gold. Any idea what these might be classified as/ what they would sell for?

If you can cut the green board off from around the gold squares you might be able to sell the gold squares for the same as gold fingers(50.00 per lbs.) You could use a strait edge and a box cutter and score the board then using a pair of plyers snap the board off. I would check with one of the buyers in the buyer/seller section.
