I know to remove heat sinks, steel covers but how about inductors? Got some small ones on boards but not sure if I should remove. Is there anything else to removed from boards? Like pic below
Thanks

i dont waste my time and to me its something buyer pays in the price of the board but can be wrong
agree w/chrisc, want the buyer to get something for their money. but I do take transformers off boards, and always bust the flyback transformer off a tv board.
Flyback transformer, ic chips, transformers, larger inductors, heat sinks. Brown boards only.
how about removing them from med to high grade boards?
Thanks
I only get "circuit board" price (.16 lb.). So, yes, I do cut them off. Any thing worth money on the board, I cut off!
At my yard the flyback transformers pay the same as the low grade board itself. I leave them on, since they are a major pain in the posterior to take off. The copper ratio is low on these things (by weight) anyway. I take off all copper and aluminum. Sometimes I take the steel off, since it actually pays more than the low grade boards. All depends on how tough it is to get off, or what mood I'm in.
Eventually I plan on getting the IC chips off as well. I'm just not set up for it yet.
Dang, 16 cents a lb sounds pretty darned good. I only get 8 cents.
