    CPU Identification

    over the past few months of processing I have a few Procs. Anything interesting about them?

    go to the intel section on cpu's and look at the collectors at cpu world and their links

    It is hard to tell in the pic, but the first one has silver cap and pins. I wonder if it's platinum?

    My guess would be silver or tin....The cap looks like aluminum to me in the picture but I certainly could be wrong. But for the pins I would seriously doubt that they were platinum but stranger things have happened. Maybe it was military grade.

    It was from a military equipment. Maybe I will use my metal tester thingy.

    I understand that feeling. I just got a double gold pentium for the first time last week. May I ask what type of military equipement it came from? I live near several bases and can bid on auctions. Thanks Mike.

    It was definitely video equip. maybe flight sims or something like that. I think it was late 90s era.
