Thanks for metal content info. Mick
[QUOTE=Mick;4693]Most truck radiators will brass. Assuming you "clean" it (take off any steel lines), right now, you should be getting about $1.50/lb. If they're aluminum, they're probably about 0.54/lb (again - if the plastic sides and steel lines are removed) - they'll go the same as "Sheet Aluminum" or "Prepared Aluminum". If you don't clean them, they're "Unprepared" (Brass Radiators or Aluminum).
Metals - Brass or Aluminum, depending...
Oh, also -- quick way of telling if a radiator is brass or aluminum.... Brass will have metal (brass) tops/bottoms and aluminum will be plastic.
Jut have a handfull Focker. 4 to be exact.
Yeah just clean them get all of the steel off of them. Are you buying a bulk lot or do you just have some?
Hey BigBlue; just dug out of more snow up hear 15 miles south of Lake Michigan. thanks for selling range figures.
I usually get $35-40 for a brass radiator from a 70's or 80's pickup truck (small block V8) at current prices here. A radiator from a big block or diesel will be much bigger, therefore more $$$... big trucks, i'm not sure what they would get, but i'd imagine if they are brass and for a big block or diesel engine, probably upwards of $50 each.
