    What do people think ?

So I get a text today from a guy saying he has some cardboard he wants to be removed, so I tell him to send me a picture of it. What I see is maybe a little more then 2 full pickup loads and that's if they we're cut up and broken down (which they aren't we would have to do that) so I quote him $200 and he replies " oh that's okay I was hoping it would be like 40 bucks" I told him we were pretty far apart and if he wanted I could do 150 but that's my best price. He then texts me he found someone for 60 , is he lieing or are people really working that cheap!:

Do you have a cardboard recycler in your area

The OCC(cardboard) recycler in your area probably does pay for cardboard in large volumes, tons, and if someone is doing it for $60 there most likely selling the cardboard.

Only other scenario I can think of is that someone is doing cheap work because they're close by and want to advertise/find potential business. Probably many reasons to justify the work.

that person needs the $60 more than you need the $150, or they don't realize the work involved, or they are able to sell it
