Monday: Took in a decent iron load...$979, and did some much needed shopping.
Tuesday: Don't mention Tuesday...everything I touched turned to crap.
Wednesday (today): Went to see client #1.....simply went to pick up a dead cow/calf pair to feed my dogs. Ended up getiing a few goodies from him. 28 car & tractor batteries, 1 motorcycle battery, two 55 gallon barrels filled with a nice mix of #1 iron and cast aluminum, a water heater, an aluminum bbq grille, and 2 dozen farm fresh eggs.
All this cost me $47
Client #2.....Paid me $100 to tow his broken car 40 miles.
Client #3....2 free bags of cans....no big deal, but it was only 3 blocks from................................
Client #4.....Got 3 washers, 3 dryers, 2 car batteries, 1 aluminum wheel, 2 brass/copper radiators, maybe 10 ponds of other assorted metal, and a complete Subaru wagon 4x4with battery & all...Total cost...$110
All this with with a total of about 165 miles of driving (everything is far away out here in the sticks).
Have at least one client with a couple of cars, an Intrepid and a Century, lined up for tomorrow.
All in all, a decent start to the week. Feelin' pretty good.
