Trying to figure out what makes the most sense to the most scrappers.
Yes, computers only.
Yes, all e-waste.
Yes, televisions.
Yes, appliances.
Yes, vehicles.
No, I scrap everything.
Yes, copper.
Yes, aluminum.
Yes, precious metals. (Gold and silver.)

So that would be: "No, I scrap everything." ;-)
Equal Opportunity Scrapper hear. Love the payout for non-ferrous but there's something about the squat of the van that gets to me, when I have a good load of steel too.

Copper and aluminum wire is pretty much all I do.
Generally speaking scrappers are the self motivated entrepreneur types. In the real world that means opportunistic, so I'm not a scrapper I'm a businessman who just happens to run a micro empire
Thanks, Diesel! Where in Michigan is Jamestown?
Good thing there is a u in fecualfinder....

If I can scrap it, I bring it home!
Even though I will scrap anything, I am starting to specialized in 2 things. Since I just got my EPA Certification as a Type I and Type II, I am starting to push for Refrigerators, Freezers, AC's and other small appliances. And since I have been doing computer scrapping for years, I am also specializing in this as well. Since I will be purchasing a U-Haul soon, I plan on sticking with just these 2 things and slowly phasing out the rest of it slowly.

Burlyguy, Jamestown is just south west of grand rapids. My scrap yard is 60 miles south, just off I-94 in Hartford though.
Mostly batteries, but will scrap anything if I can make a buck. Most things I have to haul 200 miles or more, so it has to pencil out or I leave it where it is.
I would say I specialize in e-waste but I am not willing to pass up free scrap of any kind if it is worth my time.
everything, but i specialize in escrap and vehicles
Mostly vehicles and iron, but have piles with literally tons of non ferrous and e-waste to break down when/if opportunity arises...usually when my small iron pile is low and I need more stuffing material for cars.....then I spend a day or 2 breaking down. Usually take in 2-4 stuffed cars at a time, depending on their size.
Non ferrous/e-parts, batteries and cores go in separately, when a worthy load of each has accumulated.
If it will scrap, I pick it up.
Edit...obviously, your skill set, equipment, and connections should play a large role in what you choose to spend most of your scrap time doing.

I specialize in anything I can sell for more than I paid for it. Often find me putting a torch to old farm machinery tho, due to the fact I live in rural America and that's what's round here to scrap. Couple of weeks ago sold my first load of e scrap, I'm always up to scrap anything that gets in my way. Gonna try to do more e scrap in the future, got $41 for 15# of high grade boards so Im liking it
