My name's Kathy; and, I'm in central Okla. I'm into playing around with an assortment of alt. energy projects, which led me into the world of hard drive magnets. I'm disabled; and, "Mom" to 7 large abandoned dogs; so, I'm also looking into scrapping the backing plates off of the mags I've gotten off of ebay, for a little extra income. I'm still looking for that "right place" to get a decent price for the permalloy, though. If I wind up with enough hard drives to make it worth bothering with, I'll also look into parting them out; but, right now, my focus is on getting the right magnets to build some magnetic on-demand water heaters for use out here on my place; and, maybe, for Christmas gifts to a few really good friends.
