    need help

hi everyone. recently, i have found a wholesale company online in FL. I think they focus on export. It seems to be a large company. I want to buy a lot of stuff from them. However, I can't find their website anywhere but I do see their information on many international websites such as name address and phone number. How can I make sure they are a legitimate company? they are selling a large quantity of the stuff I want now, and I have very little time to consider. I don't think I have time to go there right now. they request to pay all before they prepare the shipping. Can someone give me some advice? thank you so much!

Where in Fl. are they located? You can type the name of the co. in the Google search and see if that helps. I would be very carefull of a co. that wants cash up front, maybe you can use a credit card, that way you can cancile that payment. Good luck.

What are you actually trying to do?? Is this for the purpose of reselling or scrapping?
I wouldn't be in too big of a hurry to pull the trigger on this until you have checked them out thoroughly.

amen! Mech. I too would be very cautious of a company trying to sell online, without any online presence. Hek, there's enough online who'll rip you off from their own websites! ; )

Is it a true wholesaler an if so do you have the permit to buy as one? If for the purpose of reselling this does matter. True wholesalers can only deal with folks with the permit. Here's a link to a wikihow on how to obtain such. If you need more in depth info you can Google wholesale license/permit an find all you need an more. How to Buy Wholesale: 6 Steps - wikiHow

Oh an on the pay before thing..Most the wholesalers I used, either had you pay at ship, or had a 30/60 day set up, where you paid up in 30 days/60 days. As happy suggested running the name through Google, Scam report websites, etc. should give you any reviews/complaints/compliments, etc with no problem.

If not for resale an not a true wholesaler, then you can ignore the above. True wholesalers don't/cant sell to the general public. When I had mine it was a simple process, not overly complicated. Surprisingly.

An if I'm way in left field I blame the cooler, an it's contents.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck. Having a wholesale license is awesome if your sell new retail items, whether in a store, online, or a flea market/swap meet.

Edit to add link: (mods if it's breaking a rule feel free to delete this link, figure it could help someone) Here's a link to ripoffreport.com, handy site if your not sure something is legit or not. Obviously it doesn't have every company, etc etc, but when it does it's quite useful. Ripoff Report | Scams, reviews, complaints, lawsuits and frauds. File a report, post your review. You can verify if they are a lrgit compaby by going to the florida secretary of states website and doing a corporation search. See if they are rwgistered to do business on the state. Start there and then you can check the better business bureau website and then the above suggestions.

you can add keywords to a company/product search such as "trouble", or "problem" and get more results from that side of the spectrum too ; )

I never buy with money I can't afford to take a complete loss on. In fact I don't buy with resale in mind only as selling as scrap and any re-use sales are the extra profit. Don't cut youself short to go big. Mike.

They probably have 2 businesses at the same office. Both of my llc's are registered to my home address....so not that unusual. Do a trial run with them and see how it goes...then ramp up gradually. Oh and make sure you get something in writi g and actually READ THE CONTRACT.
