    Hi I'm new to the forum/scrapping business Can anybody give me any tips or pointers

    Hi my name is Paul and I live in the Orlando Florida area I'm thinking about getting involved in the scrap business if anybody is from Central Florida and knows any info or tips they can give me I really do appreciate it I'm just starting out and I could definitely use the help I would like to go mainly after aluminum copper and brass however I don't know where would be the best places to get these type of scrap metals from As you can tell I'm really new to this type trait and would greatly appreciate any type of tips and pointers or any kind of advice thank you so much look forward to hearing from any of you guys

    Thanks might seem like a dumb question but do you know where I can pick up a magnet and does it need to be a certain kind

    Right offhand you can scrap one from a speaker or microwave (those are strong). If you do dissect a microwave then watch out for the beryllium.
    We have some conversations about them and where it's at.

    Hardware stores have the keychain magnets also.

    try going to your local yard,,,,ask them how they want things prepared....yards sometimes give away magnets.....i have several on my refridgerator...microwaves have good magnets....any magnet will work....http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/tools...et-choice.html there is the address to a topic on magnets ...im not sure how to make it a link...just copy and paste it in your adress bar
