I have been gone for some time do to mowing accident Sept 2013. My eye has been restored not as good as the God given eye but I can see and drive. Thanks to the members who offered help nice to know there are still real humans in this world.
I contacted a couple but no replies, I live in Joplin, MO area I'm not able to do much I have a couple of boxes with computer parts I cant ship but if some one is close to me I would like to at least get a little for them. Your accident is a humbling lesson for us all .
I guess thats why all machinery usage, always says wear eye protection
get well the best you can.
Your situation will help others realize dangers .
As with scrappers it could be an Ironic situation
harm can come from non scrap work.

Thanks mikeinreco my problem is to sort and let someone see what I have. I can drive but at 74yo and really to slow makes one understand why people get made at old folks driving.

Can you do photos of what you have ? If not we have a member or two in Tulsa that can help. I used to live at Grand lake and once owned Joplin magazine and Ozark Gateway news. If some one doesn't chime in pm me . mcw

I hear you loud and clear Glenn.

You are looking for a knowledgeable person that can help you figure out what you have by going through the items and give you a fair price for it or help you get what you have sold and they get a percentage.

I'm told that I have good vision for 56, but I can't see like I could when younger. I need reading glasses and magnifying glass and such for close up work. Such as seeing small screws and reading part numbers, trying to take photos and such. Even with so called normal sight I have a tough time seeing the small things even with glasses and such.

So who is close enough to Glenn and has a knowledge of what he might have that can work out a way to connect and sort it all out?

I myself don't know much about computer stuff and I Live in a far far away land of lakes and ponds.

It looks like the closest member is phred59 in Fayetteville. Unless there is any non members reading and would be willing to help Glenn out? Anyone driving through or near Joplin soon?
Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing.

By golly, I'm glad your eye is better!

Eye injuries suck hard. I can't say I had to have mine replaced or fixed to that degree, but I know the scariness of possible blindness. Cigerette to the eye really sucked, lawn mower to the eye would suck even more.

Either way I'm glad your doing better. First I ever herd of this! I would have sent special eye healing beverages!

I'm sorry I can't help you with the sorting. Hopefully someone will be able to step up an be able to lend you a hand.

Good luck an again sorry to hear about your injury, but I'm quite glad your doing better.

Hi Glenn and welcome back. I became a member in Sept 2013 about the same time you had your accident.
I'm driving from Nashville Tn. to Kansas City Mo. next week to install a telephone system but it looks like you're 2.5 hours away.
I would love to drop by a check out what you have but I don't know if I will have time. They have me on a tight schedule but will know more next week.
