I haven't ever tried it but I think if your nit worried about messing up the transfer case you should be fine
Manual Transmission Models
All-Wheel Drive vehicles can be towed with all four wheels on the ground in neutral or with all four wheels off the ground on a trailer with the transmission in gear. Never attempt towing with only two wheels on the ground or two wheels on a dolly. Front-Wheel Drive vehicles can be towed with all four wheels on the ground in neutral or with the two front wheels off the ground.
Automatic Transmission Models
All-Wheel Drive vehicles cannot be towed with any wheels on the ground. The vehicle can only be towed on a trailer with all four wheels off the ground and the transmission in park. Front-Wheel Drive vehicles can be towed with front wheels off the ground or all four wheels off the ground and transmission in park.

If you are worried about damaging the drivetrain, put it on your dolly, then remove the rear driveshaft before towing.

Yep just remove the drive shaft and you will be fine.

^^^^^^^what he said
Yeah it is scrap who cares.Just drop the drive shaft and roll on with it
i dont care about what happens to the transfer case etc, its all going to scrap, just wondering if the back wheels will drag , or roll and break the transfer case
ill just man up and pop the shaft out.. i hate winter
Grab a sawzall or a torch and just cut the frickin ddrivershaft...quicker than unbolting.....
