Interesting turn of events, and a BIG THANK YOU
So I took a load into the yard today and while I'm in line for the non-ferrous one of the buyers (who yes, knows me by name!) comes up and says, "Sarah, you need to hang around after you get paid because the owner wants to talk to you."
I'm thinking, "crap what did I do?!"
Turns out he wanted to offer me a job!! Which is absolutely awesome since I started scrapping a few months ago because I got laid off.
I go in next week for an official interview. So if nothing else, this forum has helped me get good enough at scrapping to get noticed, and maybe even get hired! I've learned about 70% of what I know from this forum and the other 30 by just getting in there and taking it apart.
THANK YOU to all who teach and share on here. You've helped me learn a new skill-set and maybe landed me a much needed job.
My only question is... CAN I STILL SELL THEM MY SCRAP?!
