I am wondering how high this 1 lbs would be at auction. I'm charging $6.50 for shipping but the starting bid is .99.
Just want to see if this test would get me over the $14.75. I know it's not the best money making strategy but here it is.

I sold on ebay 1 lb for $9.95 of ram memory. it was org $14.95 listened or best offer.
This result is not a big surprise. I have successfully sold RAM on ebay and made more money than I would have selling to my normal buyer. I found that the extra couple of dollars I made was not worth the additional risk of selling to someone on ebay and the extra work involved in selling on ebay.
Much of what I sell on ebay is worth very little as scrap metal but once tested its worth many times more. In addition I will suggest that if you want to continue selling RAM sell several pounds at a time. Once you go over 16 oz USPS takes you out of First Class Package into Priority Mail.
I prefer to sell at buy it now rather than auction because much of what I sell does not sell quickly and would not likely have many bids.
On the other hand I've sold a couple of iphones and those I did put on an auction but my start price was the least I would be happy selling them for. Popular items seem to do very well on ebay auctions. Its funny ebay always suggests a starting price of $0.99 saying you will get more bids.

Well FINE Hobo- you outbid my $4.25.
I felt the same way- if for some reason I snagged it at the $4.25 and paid post- I'd still have a tiny bit of meat left on the bone for profit!

So far this wouldn't qualify. OP never asked for ppl to bid. He was just looking for feedback on format and basic posting structure. No one should make a big deal about it.

I placed a bid. If I were to win, I would pay him my bid and look to have a smooth transaction.
I didn't place a bid to "pump his auction price" I placed a bid to hopefully WIN the auction and complete the transaction!
