When you get an email notifying you that you got a private message, DO NOT reply to this email. This is only a notification and comes from a system email address, not the person that Private messaged you. When you reply to these e-mails your messages basically just go out into cyber space, they do not go to the person who sent you the message.
To reply to private messages, you must LOG IN to the forum and reply to it here.
PS - I might also add, that the very first line of these private message notification emails is the following
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL!
