    issues with "new posts" button.

Last few days I would sign on and click to "new post" button and get this message:

"Sorry, there are no new posts to view.

You may search for posts updated during the previous 24 hours, here"

I only come here once or twice a day so I know there are now post that are created in that time frame. Also I would click the "here" button in the message above and I would get this message:

"This forum requires that you wait 10 seconds between searches. Please try again in 7 seconds."

Am I doing something wrong or do I not have some setting correct?

It might be a cookies or cache issue, I always recommend starting there. Clear your browser cookies and your browser cache, close your browser then restart it. See if that works.

In the meantime, anybody else having this same issue?

It's always been like that for me. I usually log out after posting, close the browser, and clean the cache.

    That works just fine.

I only get the "no new posts" thing if I sign out an back in. I stay logged in, so when I log out for whatever reason, it'll reset all the posts as if I've hit "Mark forums as read".

It's weird but never bothers me, as I stay logged in most the time.

Never have the issue on my phone with the app.

My concern is a little different. I will receive email notifications of updates, but when I log in non of the posts highlighted in my email show up. Guessing it is a personal problem.

Oh, apparently this is a known issue. And apparently you have to have a moderator approve a new topic. When did that $#!+ start?

i also have a problem with that- it takes quite long for the page to load- once it does, everything else opens much faster.

Was having the same problem a couple of weeks ago but then it cleared up without doing anything...pages have been slow to load this week though.

I use the "remember me" box for the ease of logging in.

Kinda surprised Admin chimed in...thought we were on autopilot.

Same problem for the past four days.

It's admins job to fix the problem and not my duty to clear browser cookies and cache.

    I agree 100%.

But I did it and it fixed the problem. Now I only have to go to the eleventy dozen other sites that I WAS remembered at and re-enter all my usernames and passwords. If I can remember them...

Now I'm getting this message when I log out, the forum is broken.

This posting problem seems to occur whenever a moderator deletes an entire thread rather than modify it.

Whenever I have an issue on the forum I create a support ticket and it gets fixed. There's only a few moderators left and a whole lot of members. Maybe if more members would become paid members they could get more moderators to take care of issues.
Just my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions.

Herein lies the problem this site runs scripts from the following ad generating sites, all of which suck up bandwidth both from the forum side and the client side.

From time to time these ad scripts are updated and need to be reinstalled otherwise problems may occur such as the one were experiencing now. Websites do not fare well on autopilot.

This is what happens when your not looking after business, its very possible in the near future the book will be history. That little blip in the graph represents a $120,000,000,000.00 billion dollar loss of capital.

By blocking all the ad scripts the problem is now gone and the forum pages now load at lightning speed.
