    iPods/iPhones?

I'm sure you've all seen people advertising to buy broken iPods and iPhones on craigslist for quite a bit of money. What makes them so valuable? Do the buyers scrap the circuit boards and such? Do they fix them? What's the deal with this?

There's nothing more fun and more effective than hitting something repeatedly with a sledgehammer

I have seen alot of that to on Craigslist. As well as the graphic calculators. Not sure the main reason they are doing it, but a lot of your higher tech phones and probably graphic calculators have more of the rarer precious metals. Such as gold/silver/platinum. And if what I was reading the other day, higher grades as well. But not sure how reliable the site was. Seemed like it was by an amateur at stripping them down.

People that buy iphones and calculators are reselling them to refurbishers. or they are refurbishers. At least that would make the most sense.

Ah, so there's money to be made if you can find a refurbisher.
